About Another Code: Recollection
"Another Code: Recollection" is a compilation of games from the "Another Code" series, which includes "Another Code: Two Memories" (originally released as "Another Code: Memories of Two") and "Another Code: R - The Path of the Recollection". This collection was released for the Nintendo Switch.
Emulation Performance Review
We tested the Recollection NSP on Ryujinx (Version 1.1.1118) with a mid-tier PC (RTX 3060 + i5-12400). Another Code- Recollection ROM NSP - Switch Game
- Performance: Solid 30 FPS locked. The game is not 60 FPS, but frame pacing is perfect.
- Glitches: None major. However, the "DAS" (Dual Screen) puzzles require using the mouse for cursor emulation, which feels slightly clunky compared to real hardware.
- Verdict: This is arguably the best way to play if you want 4K upscaling. The original Switch hardware runs at 720p handheld / 1080p docked. Emulators push this to 4K/60 (with mods).
What is Another Code: Recollection?
Before discussing the ROM, it is vital to understand why this game matters. Another Code follows the story of Ashley Mizuki Robbins, a teenage girl searching for her missing father in a mysterious mansion on Blood Edward Island. The game is famous for its tactile puzzles—originally using the DS’s touch screen and microphone. Performance: Solid 30 FPS locked
Recollection modernizes these puzzles for the Switch. It utilizes HD Rumble, motion controls, and a third-person over-the-shoulder camera. The game also features full voice acting (English and Japanese) and completely re-orchestrated music. What is Another Code: Recollection

Another Code — Recollection ROM NSP: What It Is and What You Need to Know
Another Code — Recollection is a remastered collection of the narrative-driven adventure titles from the Another Code (Trace Memory) series. This post explains what the ROM/NSP labels mean, the legal and technical context, and safe, ethical alternatives for playing the game on Nintendo Switch.
Gameplay: Streamlined Mystery
Purists should be aware that this is not a 1:1 remake. The gameplay has been significantly streamlined.
- The Interface: Instead of the DS’s "point and click" touch screen mechanics, you now control Ashley directly with the joystick.
- The Puzzles: The notorious inventory puzzles and "hunt the pixel" mechanics have been heavily reduced. The puzzles that remain are logical and integrated into the environment, often utilizing the "DAS" (a device that mirrors the Switch screen, much like the DS original).
- The Vibe: This makes the game feel less like a traditional adventure game and more like a "walking simulator" or an interactive novel. For players looking for brain-bending challenges, this might feel too easy. However, for those who just want to unwind with a mystery, the pacing is excellent.
