Cause: Your TV (or Fire Stick) was previously signed in with a different BBC account (perhaps a roommate or family member). Fix: You must "de-authorize" the device.

  1. On your phone, go to the BBC Account settings page.
  2. Navigate to "Devices" or "Manage devices."
  3. Find the specific TV in the list and click "Remove" or "De-authorize."
  4. Restart the iPlayer app on the TV and request a fresh TVCode.
