Bonelab — Sideload
Here’s a technical write-up on sideloading in BoneLab, aimed at users familiar with VR modding or Quest advanced features.
Best practices & safety tips
- Only download mods from reputable sources and check comments/ratings.
- Avoid running unknown .exe files; prefer mods that are plain assets or .dlls from trusted creators.
- Keep a simple backup schedule: zip the game folder before major mod installs.
- Use a mod manager or loader when available — easier to enable/disable and reduces breakage.
- Keep mods updated and uninstall mods before updating the base game if advised by the mod author.
- For multiplayer: only use mods allowed by server rules; mismatched mods can cause connection issues or bans.
