Part 6: Getting Started – A Step-by-Step Guide

Once you’ve chosen a server (let’s call it Server X), here is the typical setup process:

1. Disable your antivirus temporarily (or add an exception). Old DarkEden clients use packing methods that modern AVs flag as false positives. Do not do this unless you trust the source.
2. Download the server’s custom launcher from their official Discord #download channel. Never use a mediafire link from a random forum post.
3. Install to C:\DarkEden (avoid Program Files to prevent permission issues).
4. Run the launcher as Administrator. It will patch the client to the server’s specific IP and customs.
