1. Low CPU Overhead V9 plugins were optimized during an era when computer processing power was much lower than it is today. As a result, they are incredibly lightweight. For mixing sessions where graphical flair isn't a priority, V9 is pure efficiency.

2. The "Classic" Sound The DSP algorithms in the V9 bundles are the sounds of thousands of hit records. The Renaissance series (R-EQ, R-Comp), the CLA series, and the API collections in V9 format sound identical to their modern counterparts in many cases. If you are looking for "that sound" without paying for modern graphical updates you don't need, V9 delivers the goods.

3. Stability Because V9 has been around for nearly a decade, it is incredibly stable. The bugs were squashed years ago. If you have an older system (like Windows 10 or macOS Mojave and earlier), V9 is likely the most stable version of Waves you can run.
