2. How to Connect (Storz to Storz)

If both the NAFFCO equipment and your "piece" have Storz couplings (the "claw" style lugs):

  1. Inspect the Gaskets: Check the rubber gaskets inside both couplings. Ensure they are clean and seated properly.
  2. Align the Lugs: Hold the two coupling halves together. Align the "claws" or lugs of your piece so they fit into the slots of the NAFFCO coupling.
  3. Twist to Lock: Turn the coupling usually 1/4 turn (90 degrees) to the right (clockwise). You should feel the cams lock into place and the connection become tight.
  4. Safety: If equipped, close the safety latches/locks to prevent accidental disconnection.
