What the driver is and why it matters
- Purpose: translates standard Windows print calls and label-design application output into the printer’s command set (printer mode, cut/tear, label length, thermal settings, counters, graphics, barcodes, RFID where supported).
- Scope: supports multiple EasyPrint models, including compact/IM/TM/TM350–580 families; the ES-9930U is typically supported via the multi-model EasyPrint driver package rather than a model‑exclusive driver.
- Benefits: reliable label formatting, hardware counters, printer status reporting, Windows spooler integration, and compatibility with labeling software (NiceLabel/BarTender/Crystal Reports).
For Cloud POS (Loyverse, Square, Shopify POS)
- These systems often require a network printer or a print server.
- Connect the ES-9930U via Ethernet or use a USB-to-Ethernet adapter.
- The driver must be shared on a local server if using USB direct.
Paper Size
- Go to Printer Preferences > Advanced.
- Set Paper Size to 80 x 297 mm (or custom receipt length).
- Check "Continuous roll" if your receipts are cut after each print.
