5. General Tips for All Rogue-lite DLCs

  1. Don't Be Greedy: The biggest mistake players make is trying to clear the whole map in one run. Once you have 5,000–7,000 Military Grade resources, Leave. Bank that money to buy permanent upgrades. Dying with 10,000 resources is a massive waste of time.
  2. Unlock the Pistol First: Your first permanent upgrade should always be the ability to start with a better pistol (or the Recurve Bow if available).
  3. Weapon Cases: Keep an eye out for silver/red cases. These contain "Signature Weapons" (like the Buzzsaw or AMR). If you find one, the game becomes significantly easier for that run.
  4. Perks: In the DLC hub area, buy perks that allow you to keep your weapons after extracting. Eventually, you can become overpowered and clear the map easily.

Unlockable Secret Ending (All DLCs)

After beating Mind Level 3 on a DLC, you unlock a secret final boss (a corrupted version of the hero who defeated them).

  • To reach it: On a new run, find and activate 5 hidden “Mind Keys” (glowing orbs in special rooms). Then a new door appears in the hub.

Act Structure

Act I — Infiltration

  • Opening mission: clandestine landing on Isla Dorada; stealth tutorial through cane fields to a small distillery. Introduces Sombra’s Kiss effects (blurry hallucination segments when exposed).
  • Objective: rescue Marisol’s sister and obtain first distillery ledger. Player learns about production chain and syndicate buyers.
  • Choice: reveal ledger publicly (spurs immediate crackdown but saves some workers) or hand it to the CIA asset for targeted strikes (fewer civilian casualties now, larger long-term risk).

Act II — Sabotage & Allies

  • Multiple playable missions across three distinct distilleries (rustic coastal plant, fortress-like inland complex, and hidden cave refinery).
  • Mechanics: booby-traps for vats, stealth poison to the fermentation process (non-lethal option causes temporary shutdown), hacking export manifests, and sea-sabotage mini-game to intercept shipments.
  • Side quests: help addicts (short rescue + detox missions), retrieve stolen antiques (optional, affects final funding), recruit Madre Lucía (complete a ritual puzzle to gain her intel).

Act III — Collapse & Choices

  • Final sequence: assault on the syndicate’s flagship distillery during a storm; choice-driven finale with three major endings:
    1. Expose and liberate — publicly release evidence, destroy distilleries but accept short-term humanitarian crisis; syndicate leaders arrested, some islands suffer supply disruptions.
    2. Covert dismantle — cooperate with the CIA asset to surgically remove leaders and smuggle out workers; syndicate fractured but many buyers survive and Sombra’s Kiss resurfaces elsewhere.
    3. Seize & repurpose — protagonist takes control of the operation, replacing Sombra’s Kiss with a legal cooperative brand to fund rebuilding; morally gray, protagonist risks becoming a new power broker.
