    • *Avoid: * 7.4.0 or 7.4.1 (known memory leaks).
  • FortiOS 7.0.x (Legacy Support):
    • Maturity: End of feature development. Security patches only.
    • Best for: Older hardware (40C, 100D) that cannot run 7.2+.
  • FortiOS 6.4.x or older:
    • Status: Highly discouraged. Many are "End of Engineering Support" (EOS). You are accumulating technical debt.
