1. The Temptation of the "Answer Key" The biggest downside is the risk of misuse. Because the answers are all right there, it is very tempting for a struggling student (or a frustrated parent) to peek at the answer to "get it over with." 3. Physical Durability Kumon answer books are typically soft-cover, flimsy paper booklets. For something that gets handled daily, they can tear easily. Laminating the cover or keeping it in a folder is recommended.
