  5. Initiate "Unlock": Click the "Read Password" or "Clear Password" button.
  6. Cycle Power: Most tools require a power cycle of the PLC after the unlock command.
  7. Verify: Open CX-Programmer. Attempt an online connection. If successful, immediately remove the password via PLC Properties > Protection > Set to "No Protection". Then, upload and back up the program and memory.
