God Mode in the Sector: A Guide to Starsector Console Commands

The Persean Sector is a harsh and unforgiving place. Your logistics chain is fracturing, your credits are dwindling, and the Hegemony is inspecting your fleet for AI cores you definitely shouldn't have. Sometimes, you just want to bypass the struggle and play space god.

For those moments, the Starsector community has provided a powerful tool: Console Commands.

Unlike many modern games that have built-in cheat codes, Starsector requires a specific mod to access the developer console. Whether you are a veteran looking to test a new ship build or a new player who just lost their save file to a buggy pirate armada, here is everything you need to know about the Starsector Console Commands mod.

addweapons [weapon ID] & addhullmods [mod ID]

These commands fill your storage with the selected items.

  • Weapon Example: addweapons tachyon_lance 20 (Gives 20 Tachyon Lances).
  • Hullmod Example: addhullmods hardened_shields 5
  • The Ultimate: allweapons (Gives you one of every weapon in the game).
  • The Ultimate PT 2: allhullmods (Gives you every hull mod. Warning: This clutters your storage.)

1. AddCredits [amount]

The most innocent-looking line of code in gaming. Type addcredits 500000, and suddenly you aren't worried about fuel costs for the next three hours. It bypasses the early-game struggle of running smuggling missions just to pay your crew's salaries.
