The New York and Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award-winning series features documentary shorts about an extraordinary range of artists and visits New Jersey’s best performance spaces. State of the Arts is on the frontlines of the creative and cultural worlds of New Jersey.

State of the Arts is a cornerstone program of NJ PBS, with episodes co-produced by the New Jersey State Council on the Arts and Stockton University, in cooperation with PCK Media. The series also airs on WNET and ALL ARTS.

On this week's episode... Artist, historian and bestselling author Nell Irvin Painter on her book I Just Keep Talking, a collection of her essays interspersed with her art. Also on this week’s episode, in 1974, high school friends Phil Buehler and Steve Siegel rowed out to explore the ruins of Ellis Island and make a film. With the film’s re-release in the NY Times OpDocs series, Phil and Steve revisit the island after 50 years. And at Two River Theater in Red Bank, the world premiere of The Scarlet Letter, Kate Hamill’s stage adaptation of Hawthorne’s classic tale.

Updating your YT9216CJ Android head unit can significantly improve system stability, fix bugs, and enhance features like CarPlay or Android Auto connectivity. Because these units are often generic or rebranded, the update process can vary from simple Wi-Fi updates to manual firmware flashing. 1. Check for Wireless (OTA) Updates

The safest and easiest way to update is through the unit's built-in system tools.

Connect to Wi-Fi: Ensure your head unit is connected to a stable Wi-Fi hotspot or home network.

  3. Insert the USB drive.
  4. Hold your finger on the touchscreen (keep it pressed).
  5. Reconnect the battery (or turn the ignition on).
  6. Keep holding the screen until you see a green Android robot or a progress bar.
  7. Release. Wait 10 minutes.

Step 4: Backup Your Current System

Before downloading any update, you must understand what you are working with. The YT9216CJ is not a brand; it is a reference motherboard design manufactured by several Chinese OEMs (like Junsun, Xtrons, Eonon, or no-name brands). Method 1: The "Simple" Update (via Settings) Use

Step 1: Identify Your Current System Version

Before downloading anything, retrieve your unit's exact details.

  1. Go to Settings → System → About Device (or Factory Settings).
  2. Note down:
    • Android Version (e.g., 10, 11, 12 – note that these are often fake/faked versions; real API level matters)
    • System version (e.g., UI03-00010-)
    • MCU Version (e.g., MTCE_YZ_V3.73)
    • CAN Bus version (if applicable)
    • Build number
  3. Enter Factory Settings (password usually 1234, 8888, or 000000) and note the Screen Resolution (e.g., 1024x600) and Touch Panel Model.

📸 Take photos of these screens. They are your lifeline if something goes wrong.
